Is This an "On-Table" Injury?
Yes. Vasovagal Syncope is an "on-table" injury for almost all vaccines covered by the NVICP, including the flu shot, Tdap, MMR, and HPV vaccines.
Because it is "on-table," the legal process is simplified if you meet the following criteria:
● The Onset Window: The fainting episode must occur within 1 hour of the vaccination.
● Severity Requirement: To qualify for a claim, the injury resulting from the faint must meet one of these three conditions:
● Symptoms or injury lasted for more than 6 months;
● The injury required hospitalization and/or surgery; or
● The episode resulted in death.
